Türkiye is developing a new indigenous cruise missile called GEZGİN, designed to provide long-range precision strike capability.

The missile can be launched from land vehicles, surface warships, and submarines.

GEZGİN is often compared to the U.S. Tomahawk due to its similar role and operational concept.

According to a post shared on X by SanayisavunmaTR, GEZGİN is expected to strengthen Türkiye’s long-range strike capability and reduce dependence on foreign systems. Development and testing of the missile are still ongoing.

In May 2025, Türkiye successfully completed a submarine launch test of the GEZGİN missile at Aksaz Naval Base, Integration work with the MİDLAS National Vertical Launch System is also continuing.

Although the official range has not been announced, various sources estimate that GEZGİN has a range of over 1,000 kilometers, with some estimates reaching 1,400–1,600 kilometers.

The missile is designed to hit targets with high precision from long distances.
