Dassault Aviation and Harmattan AI have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the integration of controlled autonomy and artificial intelligence into combat aviation systems.
As part of the partnership, Dassault Aviation is leading Harmattan AI’s $200 million Series B funding round.
The investment will support the development and deployment of AI-driven military technologies, with a focus on controlled and monitored autonomy.
Harmattan AI, a defence technology company headquartered in Paris, France, develops autonomous systems powered by advanced AI.
The company has secured multiple Programs of Record from the French and UK Ministries of Defence for its autonomous systems. With growing demand across allied nations, Harmattan AI is now expanding its operations globally.
According to the companies, the funding will be used to expand AI-enabled missions into additional operational theaters, extend Harmattan AI’s platforms into new domains, and scale industrial manufacturing.
Key focus areas include intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), drone interception, and electronic warfare systems.
