Elbit Systems has secured a multi-year order worth approximately $183 million (NIS 570 million) from the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) for the supply of air munitions.
The agreement was issued by the IMOD Defense Procurement Directorate (DPD) and signed by IMOD Director General Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram.
According to Elbit Systems, the order is part of Israel’s broader effort to expand its domestic defense industrial base and strengthen the operational capabilities of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the coming years.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said the expansion of Israel’s defense industry is a top national security priority, noting that Israeli defense companies have played a critical role during prolonged multi-front conflicts.
