CAE USA has been awarded a $69,879,521 contract Phase II to support the F-16 Block 70 Training Simulators program for the Taiwan Air Force.
This modification increases the total cumulative value of the contract to $127,999,185 from $58,119,664. Work will be performed in Arlington, Texas, and is scheduled for completion by Aug. 29, 2028.
The contract is funded through Foreign Military Sales (FMS), with $59,421,788 in Fiscal 2026 FMS funds obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity.
Taiwan ordered 66 F-16 Block 70 (F-16V) fighter aircraft from the United States in a 2019 FMS deal as part of its effort to modernize its air force.
The Block 70 is the most advanced F-16 variant, featuring AN/APG-83 AESA radar, upgraded avionics, advanced electronic warfare systems, and improved survivability.
The aircraft is compatible with a wide range of weapons, including AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9X air-to-air missiles, as well as precision-guided air-to-ground munitions such as JDAMs and AGM-154 JSOWs.
Deliveries are expected to continue through the second half of the decade, and the new simulators will support pilot training and operational readiness as the fleet enters service.
