Denmark Signs Seven-year Ammunition Supply Deal with Rheinmetall

Denmark has signed a seven-year framework agreement with Rheinmetall to supply multiple types of ammunition for its armed forces.

The contract includes medium-caliber ammunition for infantry fighting vehicles and air defense platforms, 120 mm rounds for main battle tanks, and 155 mm ammunition for artillery systems.

Initial orders under the agreement focus on medium-caliber ammunition in 30 mm x 173 and 35 mm x 228 calibers. Rheinmetall said the combined volume is in the high five-figure range, with a contract value in the low three-digit million euro range.

Separately, Denmark has ordered more than 1,000 rounds of 120 mm kinetic energy penetrator ammunition for its tank fleet.
