Dutch Ford Vehicles to be Fitted with Anti-drone Radars

The Netherlands defense ministry has announced that dozens of Ford 4x4 vehicles will be equipped with radar systems to improve surveillance of sensitive locations.

The radars provide early warning of approaching drones and enable a faster response to unwanted intruders. The systems can distinguish birds and other moving objects from drones.

The ministry ordered several radars last year and received the first units in November. The final systems are expected to be delivered before the end of the year.
