ST Engineering AirX has announced a partnership with Wings Over Water Ferries (WOW) to introduce its AirFish Wing-in-Ground (WIG) craft in India.

WOW plans to lease and operate up to four AirFish Voyager craft from late 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

The AirFish Voyager can travel at speeds of up to 100 knots (185 km/h), carry up to 10 passengers, and operate without airport infrastructure. Initial services are planned for coastal and island regions including Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Goa, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

ST Engineering AirX is also working with Bureau Veritas on certification, expected by mid-2026, and is exploring local assembly and maintenance in India to support the Make in India initiative.
