Sea Machines Robotics Unveils STEAMRACER-Class USV for Navy MASC Program

Sea Machines Robotics has introduced its new STEAMRACER-class unmanned surface vessel (USV) as it advances to the final evaluation phase of the U.S. Navy’s Modular Attack Surface Craft (MASC) program.

The company said the STEAMRACER platform is purpose-built for fully unmanned maritime operations and designed to meet the Navy’s immediate and future fleet requirements. The vessel features AI-enabled remote command architecture, high-speed performance, extended endurance, modular open-deck payload capacity, and a secure onboard data environment to support distributed naval operations. The vessel can also operate in a limited manned mode if required.

The Florida-built platform is being developed with partners including St. Johns Ship Building and Sierra Nevada Corporation, which will provide secure communications systems.

Sea Machines said the vessel is ready for rapid deployment to support the Navy’s growing unmanned fleet requirements.
