The Republic of Singapore Air Force will deploy an A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport aircraft to assist the departure of Singaporean citizens from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on March 10, 2026, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore.
The flight is being arranged in response to requests from Singaporeans in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia who have sought assistance returning to Singapore.
Authorities said the deployment was planned due to the lack of feasible commercial travel options in the region. The aircraft will depart from Riyadh and transport Singaporean citizens back to Singapore.
Officials said a second flight from Saudi Arabia is currently being planned for March 12.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it will contact Singaporeans who have already registered their interest in assisted departure from Saudi Arabia to provide further details about the flights.
