Lebanon’s Health Ministry said at least seven people were killed and 21 others wounded in an Israeli strike on Beirut’s Ramlet al-Bayda beach.
In a statement, the ministry said the casualties were reported following the strike on the coastal area in the center of the Lebanese capital.
“As a result of the Israeli enemy strike on Ramlet al-Bayda in Beirut, seven people were killed and 21 wounded, according to initial reports,” the ministry said.
The strike hit a section of the beach where some displaced residents had been spending the night in the open after evacuating from areas affected by earlier bombardment.
The attack follows other recent strikes in Lebanon. On March 7, 2026, strikes on eastern Lebanon killed 41 people and wounded 40, including three soldiers. On the same day, another strike on the town of Shmustar killed six people, including four children.
Since the start of the Middle East war, more than 600 people have been reported killed in Lebanon in Israeli strikes.
