Ukrainian drones hit Russian Su-57 and Su-34 aircraft on the ground at the Shagol airfield in the Chelyabinsk region on April 25.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that the results of the strikes have been confirmed. The operation on April 25 was carried out by the Unmanned Systems Forces.

"Several Su-57 fighters and a Su-34 fighter-bomber were hit. The extent of the damage is being determined," the General Staff noted.

The targets were located about 1,700 km from the state border of Ukraine. Before and after satellite images of the hit show the aircraft removed from the airfield. Also, some damage to the airfield is visible in the 'after' image.

Analysts from Ukraine’s Exilenova+ group have published a satellite image of the Shagol airfield for April 26. The image visually confirms the location of the Su-57 and Su-34 aircraft being hit, from which the aircraft were later removed.

Ukraine has increased the range and effectiveness of its drones vastly in recent weeks. On April 25, it was reported that Ukrainian strike drones had first attacked Chelyabinsk in the central Urals, which is over 1500 kms from Ukraine.

There is no confirmation nor denial of the assault on its frontline fighter jets from the Russian side.
