China Promotes Its UCAVs At DSA 2012

Taking full advantage of DSA (Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference) 2012 in Malaysia, China promoted its UCAV (Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle) among a range of products for export potentials. UAVs CH-3 and CH-4, currently on display, are capable of dispensing the AR-1 short range air-to-ground missile. The CH-3 UCAV can endure upto five hours in flight and can reach above 15,000 feet whereas the CH-4′s ceiling nearly reached 20,000 feet and can endure six hours of flight. Meanwhile, Defence Minister Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was quoted as saying that the ongoing tension between China and the Philippines over their maritime borders must be resolved peacefully through diplomatic channels.
