Exelis has signed a five-year contract valued at up to $42 million with the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane.

Under the agreement, Exelis has the opportunity to provide engineering, logistics and field and repair services for Exelis systems that support a wide range of missions in the surface, airborne, sub-surface, ground, space and cyber domains to the U.S. Navy.

Exelis is the original equipment manufacturer for several electronic warfare and radar programs administered by NSWC Crane. Previously, support services, logistics and upgrades for these systems required individual contracts. Negating the need for separate contracts, the BOA will allow Exelis to meet customer needs with job orders issued against the new agreement.

"This agreement will help us better serve our customer by simplifying the acquisition process between Exelis and NSWC Crane," said Joe Rambala, vice president and general manager of the Exelis integrated electronic warfare systems business. "Our customer will continue to receive world-class support from Exelis but with a more efficient and cost-effective contracting process."
