The Dutch maritime company IHC Merwede has selected IFS to support its key business processes in a contract worth about 2 million Euros.

IFS Applications will be implemented as IHC Merwedes single ERP system supporting the company’s key strategic goals; collaboration, globalisation, and growth. The implementation is expected to be complete in 2017, will be rolled out to all IHC Merwede sites globally, replacing a large number of IT systems.

By consolidating its IT environment, IHC Merwede will gain increased business agility, transparency and uniformity of information, which is a vital part of its national and international value chain.

"We selected IFS Applications for its proven track record in the shipbuilding industry," IHC Merwede CFO Dave Vander Heyde said. "IFS understands our business and, because of its global presence, the company is able to support us anywhere in the world, enabling us to work with one core ERP system."

"We are very happy to welcome IHC Merwede as yet another shipbuilding customer," IFS Benelux managing director Marco Verdonschot said. We look forward to working with IHC Merwede on implementing IFS Applications and streamlining its business processes."
