Japan Coast Guard Selects Dassault Aviation’s Falcon 2000 MSA

The Japan Coast Guard has selected Dassault Aviation’s Falcon 2000 Maritime Surveillance Aircraft (MSA) to strengthen their air assets of maritime surveillance.

The Falcon 2000 MSA, design based on the Falcon 2000 LXS (autonomy 4000 water), can perform a wide variety of missions including maritime surveillance, the fight against piracy and drug trafficking, fisheries control, police, search and rescue, intelligence and reconnaissance.

 In this market, this aircraft offers the best compromise between size, payload, speed, range and cost of acquisition and operation.

 Eric Trappier, President and CEO of Dassault Aviation said "Japan successfully operated Falcon for maritime surveillance missions and search and rescue around the Japanese archipelago since 1989."

By acquiring new maritime surveillance jets both modern and efficient, The Coast Guard in Japan will be equipped with a high-performance and cost-effective platform, in collaboration with L-3 Platform Integration and THALES.

Dassault Aviation also provides comprehensive means of maintenance assistance, which will enable Coast Guard to ensure an optimum level of availability of their fleet. With these capabilities, aircraft will be able to meet their demanding business needs.
