Egypt has received 6,000-tonne French multi-mission frigate at Ras el-Tine naval base, near Alexandria on Egypt´s Mediterranean coast on Friday.
The French warship built by DCNS, was bought by Egypt as part of 5.2 billion euros ($5.7 billion) deal along with 24 Rafale fighter jets.
The warship arrived near Alexandria days after Cairo took delivery of the first batch of three Rafale fighters, official media reported Friday.
The frigate is Egypt´s latest purchase as it seeks to boost its military capability in the face of instability in neighbouring Libya and insurgency in the Sinai Peninsula.
Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi attended a ceremony for the frigate, MENA news agency said.
