The Russian military will receive 27 Pantsir-S air defense systems by the end of this month.
"The delivery of 27 combat vehicles of the Pantsyr-S air defense missile/gun system is planned in 2019," Aerospace Force Deputy Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant-General Andrei Yudin, was quoted as saying by the Russian defense ministry-run Krasnaya Zvezda on Wednesday
The development has come about a week after Russia reportedly deployed over 30 Pantsir systems in Syria, "securing over 10,000sqkm of area."
Yudin added that in addition to Pantsirs, one unit of S-350 Vityaz anti-aircraft missile system will be delivered to the training center of the Aerospace Defense Military Academy.
