Turkey’s Baykar has completed the first firing test of its domestically developed KEMANKEŞ 2 Mini Intelligent Cruise Missile at the Baykar Flight Training and Test Center in Keşan, Edirne.
This missile, featuring a jet engine, has an endurance of approximately one hour, allowing it to swiftly target critical enemy positions beyond the front lines. With a range exceeding 200 kilometers and equipped with an AI-supported optical guidance system, the KEMANKEŞ 2 can engage targets.
The KEMANKEŞ 2 is equipped with an AI-assisted autopilot system that enables autonomous flight, providing high-precision targeting of strategic objectives. It incorporates anti-jamming technology to ensure reliable performance in the presence of electronic interference. Moreover, it enhances operational efficiency by transmitting real-time data and imagery to ground control stations, providing comprehensive tracking support to operators.
Previously, Baykar unveiled the initial version of this mini-intelligent cruise missile, the KEMANKEŞ 1, at TEKNOFEST 2023 held at Atatürk Airport from April 27 to May 1. The KEMANKEŞ 1 successfully completed its first firing test on June 14, 2023, launched from a Bayraktar TB2 UAV.
