Russia's Kalashnikov Concern recently conducted a demonstration of its new unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including the Karakurt, for specialists from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
During the demonstration, the company also showcased the SKAT 350 M reconnaissance drone and the Quasimacht equipment lifting system to the ministry.
Described as a mini-reconnaissance drone capable of conducting real-time airborne surveillance, the Karakurt UAV stands out for its ability to be launched from compact transport and launch containers, enabling deployment in confined spaces.
The SKAT 350 M UAV is designed for 24/7 aerial reconnaissance in optical and infrared wavelengths. It has reportedly performed well in combat conditions within the Northern Military District.
Additionally, the Quasimacht equipment lifting system, developed by SPA "Quazimast," was presented. This system enables high-speed data exchange with a ground information station via a power cable, operates silently, and has a flight endurance of at least 24 hours. Furthermore, it allows for the relocation of the ground control station and operator up to 500 meters from the UAV's hovering point.
Operators provided positive feedback, emphasizing the tactical and technical capabilities of these drones. They noted that the drones were developed with a focus on addressing priority defense areas and providing practical solutions for various combat missions, including those in active military operations.
