Saudia Group, which owns Saudia Airline and budget carrier Flyadeal, has finalized an agreement with Airbus for the procurement of 105 aircraft.
The order consists of 12 A320neo planes and 93 A321neo planes, contributing to Saudia Group’s Airbus order backlog, which now stands at 144 A320neo family aircraft.
The agreement,signed at the 2024 Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh, involves acquiring 105 Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft.
Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group said the deal would support its “ambitious operational objectives to meet growing demand. We're expanding flights and capacity across 100+ destinations on four continents, with Saudi Vision 2030 driving increased visits and economic activity. This deal will create jobs, boost local content, and enhance the national economy."”
“The new additions of the A320neo family aircraft will play a vital role in contributing to Saudi Arabia’ ambitious Vision 2030 plan,” said Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Executive Vice President Sales of the Commercial Aircraft business.
