Hezbollah claimed to have destroyed two Israeli Merkava tanks in South Lebanon early Thursday. At 12:50 am (local time), Hezbollah's anti-armor units fired an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) at an Israeli Merkava main battle tank positioned on al-Labbouneh Hill, resulting in a direct impact that set the tank ablaze and caused casualties among its crew. Shortly after, at 2:00 am, Hezbollah's Military Media announced that fighters had fired another ATGM at a second Merkava tank in the same location, which also caught fire, leading to additional crew casualties.
