The Palestinian Health Ministry has announced that more than 1,000 families in Gaza have been removed from the civil registry during the ongoing conflict.
The ministry attributed the erasure of these families to the deaths of all their members as a result of Israeli military actions.
The statement claims, “As part of the ongoing genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation army with full American support, the occupation army has exterminated 1,206 Palestinian families.” This report highlights the severe humanitarian impact of the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
The violence escalated significantly following an attack on October 7, when Hamas-led militants killed approximately 1,200 people, primarily civilians, in southern Israel and took around 250 hostages. As of now, about 100 hostages remain in captivity, with around 65 believed to be alive.
In response, Israeli military operations have reportedly resulted in the deaths of over 42,000 Palestinians, with injuries exceeding 95,000, underscoring the intense human toll of the ongoing conflict. The situation in Gaza continues to draw international attention and concern as the humanitarian crisis deepens.
