In a first, Hezbollah, also known as the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, claimed responsibility for an aerial attack targeting Israel’s Ministry of Security in Tel Aviv.
According to Hezbollah’s statement cited by group-aligned Al Mayadeen, the group launched a swarm of high-end, one-way drones on Wednesday, aiming at the Kirya military base, which houses Israel's Ministry of Security, the General Staff, War Management Room, and the Air Force’s war monitoring and control facilities.
The operation, described by Hezbollah as part of its Khaybar series and carried out under the rallying cry "Labbyaka ya Nasrallah," is the first time the group has reportedly employed drones to target Israeli military installations. Hezbollah stated that the drones accurately hit their designated targets within the Kirya base and emphasized that the attack aimed to show solidarity with Palestinian resistance efforts in Gaza and defend Lebanon's interests.
Hezbollah’s attacks using high-end rockets, missiles, and drones have reportedly targeted the suburbs of Tel Aviv since September, focusing on Israeli military installations, intelligence centers, and defense contractors.
However, Israeli media reported no confirmed impact from Wednesday’s drone strike in Tel Aviv or near the Kirya base.
