Embraer has delivered four A-29 Super Tucano light attack aircraft to the Paraguayan Air Force.

The aircraft, delivered by Brazil-based Embraer, are part of a six-unit deal aimed at boosting Paraguay’s surveillance, reconnaissance, and training capacities.

Designed for light attack, armed reconnaissance, and advanced training, the Super Tucano can operate from unprepared airstrips and in rugged environments. It features advanced avionics, modern weapon systems, and low lifecycle costs.

The aircraft are intended to support Paraguay’s ability to monitor and protect its airspace, particularly in counter-narcotics and border patrol missions.

The remaining two aircraft under the current contract are expected to be delivered later this year.
