Raytheon has won a $1.7 billion foreign military sales contract to supply Spain with four Patriot air and missile defense systems.
The deal covers provision of radars, launchers, command-and-control stations, and training equipment.
Raytheon is collaborating with Spain-based Sener, which provides the electro-mechanical control system for the GEM-T missile used within the Patriot system.
Patriot is designed to defend against long-range cruise missiles, tactical ballistic missiles, and a range of air-breathing threats, supported by an integrated command-and-control architecture.
The Spain contract follows additional Patriot orders placed in 2025 by Germany, the Netherlands, and Romania.
