The Ghana Ministry of Defence has awarded a contract to Airbus Helicopters for the supply of four helicopters.
The order includes two H175M helicopters, one ACH175, and one ACH160.
According to Airbus, the two H175Ms will be used as multi-mission military helicopters, while the ACH175 and ACH160 will be used mainly for transport duties.
The H175, in service since 2014, is a super-medium helicopter known for its long range, strong payload, and smooth performance, making it suitable for missions ranging from disaster relief and search and rescue to military, offshore, and business aviation.
The ACH160, the newest member of Airbus’ ACH family, is the most technologically advanced helicopter, featuring 68 Airbus-patented technologies, 20% more cabin space per passenger, and windows 35% larger than competitors’ for improved comfort and brightness.
