Rostec’s High-Precision Systems holding has delivered new Zubr air defense systems to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The systems are designed to protect important infrastructure from drone attacks.
The Zubr complex uses radar to detect both large aircraft and small drones, including loitering munitions. It can operate around the clock and is intended to defend facilities at close range.
According to Rostec, the system can automatically detect and track drones. Once a target is identified, an operator only needs to decide whether to engage it. Company officials say the system performed well during testing, especially against small and fast-moving targets.
Each Zubr complex includes four modules, a control center, and its own radar station.
The systems have already been deployed and are now on active duty protecting infrastructure sites.
