Hanwha Aerospace, Estonia’s Frankenburg Technologies Sign MOU on Counter-Drone System

Hanwha Aerospace has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Estonia-based Frankenburg Technologies for the joint development of a Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS).

The agreement was formalized at the World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh.

The system is currently under review for initial application on Hanwha Aerospace’s next-generation command armored vehicle, which is under development.

Under the terms of the MOU, Hanwha Aerospace will be responsible for the system integration of the C-UAS into its platforms, while Frankenburg Technologies will lead the development of guided missiles, launchers, and fire control software.

Beginning with an MOU signed with Milrem Robotics, Hanwha has since established partnerships with several Estonian companies, including Nortal, SensusQ, MARUDUK, and Go Craft.
