Turkish Air Forces Command will soon receive the first domestically-produced long-range radar, ERALP.
The Aselsan-developed Portable Early Warning Radar System will be exhibited at IDEF 2023 to be held in Istanbul from July 25-28.
ERALP stands out as an S-Band new-generation radar that can be quickly installed and assembled on tactical wheeled platforms, as per Turkish state-owned media.
The system can detect and track all air targets from very long distances thanks to its new generation radar algorithms, digital antenna architecture, electronic beam routing capability, and transmit and receive modules with GaN structure distributed over the entire antenna surface.
The radar has friend-foe recognition subsystem with active beam guidance. More than one ERALP system can act as a single radar.
