Turkish Aerospace to Modernize Azerbaijani Su-25 Jets

The Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has signed a contract with the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense to modernize the Soviet-era Su-25 warplanes belonging to Azerbaijan.

The process of modernization will includes updating the avionics and the integration of a Turkish-made Guided Ordnance Weapon Systems.

The contract was signed during the ongoing IDEF-2023 exhibition in Istanbul.

The Su-25s have been previously equipped with a Winged Guidance Kit (KGK) developed by SAGE equipped on them shortly after integration.
