The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Logistics Command has lifted public restrictions imposed after the brazen Iranian attack, reversing an earlier decision that had suggested the measures would remain in place until 11 p.m. on Monday.
Israel had issued a directive on Saturday evening to suspend all nationwide educational activities from Sunday morning until Monday evening. Since most schools were already on Passover break, the directive primarily affected extracurricular activities such as special education programs, dormitories, daycares, and youth movement trips, all of which were canceled for two days.
The directive also prohibited gatherings of over 1,000 people, affecting youth sports, classes, concerts, and other events. University classes were also suspended during this period.
"Educational activities throughout Israel will resume," announced IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari on the social media platform ‘X’.
Educational activities in conflict zones and the Gaza perimeter areas are now permitted with certain restrictions. Hagari also lifted gathering restrictions in areas under the green policy.
In response to an airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Iran attacked Israel on Sunday night, firing approximately 300 missiles and drones into Israeli territory, most of which were intercepted by air defense forces.
