The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) will showcase underground facilities housing modern missiles and drones during its ongoing “Payambar-e Azam 19” military exercise, spokesperson General Ali Mohammad Naeini announced on Monday.
He revealed plans to display missile and drone cities, alongside an underground storage facility and a vessel accommodation site in southern Iran.
A new generation of IRGC’s drones will also be introduced.
Additionally, the IRGC Navy will conduct a war game in the Persian Gulf from January 18 to 23, involving around 300 combat vessels. A smart traffic control exercise in the Strait of Hormuz will take place on January 11. On January 27, Iran will host its largest-ever naval parade, featuring 2,000 military and civilian vessels, along with two new warships.
General Naeini confirmed a large-scale war game on January 10 involving 110,000 Basij forces in Tehran. “Iran has been fully prepared since long ago for big and complicated battles on any scale,” the spokesman added.
