Panama Orders Four Embraer Super Tucano Aircraft

Embraer and Panama have signed a contract for the acquisition of four A-29 Super Tucano aircraft to be operated by the Panamanian National Air and Naval Service (SENAN).

The A-29 aircraft will be introduced as part of Panama’s new surveillance and protection program. It is used in missions including border surveillance, reconnaissance, interdiction of illicit activities, air patrol, escort operations, and pilot training.

Panama will become the eighth Latin American country to operate the A-29 Super Tucano, joining Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, and the Dominican Republic.
