Israel Kills, Injured over 1,000 Palestinians after Trump-brokered ‘Ceasefire’

The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the U.A.E., Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey issued a joint statement on February 1 strongly, condemning Israel’s repeated violations of the Gaza ceasefire.

These actions, they said, risk escalating tensions and undermining efforts aimed at consolidating calm and restoring stability, at a time when regional and international parties are working collectively to advance the second phase of the President Donald Trump’s peace plan and to implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.

The ministers said the violations undermine the political track and complicate attempts to improve security and humanitarian conditions in Gaza, stressing that adherence to the ceasefire is essential to transitioning toward a more stable phase.

The statement urged all parties to exercise restraint, preserve the truce, and avoid actions that could derail the process, while calling for early recovery, reconstruction, and progress toward a political settlement rooted in Palestinian self-determination and statehood under international law, relevant U.N. resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The condemnation came as Israel publicly acknowledged Gaza casualty figures long compiled by the Palestinian Ministry of Health. An Israeli army official recently told journalists that the military accepts that roughly 70,000 people have been killed in Gaza since the war began on October 7, 2023.

Gaza Health Ministry claims at least 71,662 people have been killed during the conflict, including 488 deaths recorded after the ceasefire was declared on October 10, 2025. Thousands remain missing and are believed buried beneath rubble, with the National Committee for Missing Persons estimating the number could exceed 10,000. The Health Ministry has also reported at least 440 deaths caused by starvation.
