Germany Receives First Patria CAVS 6x6 Armoured Vehicles under Multinational Programme

Germany’s armed forces have received the first five Patria CAVS 6x6 armoured vehicles under procurement contracts signed in December 2025 within the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle System programme.

The handover to the Bundeswehr took place in Zeithain, Germany, last week. The deliveries are part of two contracts concluded between Patria and Germany in December 2025 under the multinational CAVS framework.

The Finnish-led CAVS programme includes seven member nations: Finland, Latvia, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom and Norway. The vehicles are also operational in Ukraine.

Under the programme, development of the 6x6 armoured vehicle system is led by Patria.
